Royal Enfield’s history started with needle manufacturing in 1851, and they made their first motorcycles in 1901. This picture, from 191314, shows 6hp models, fitted with JAP V-twin engines, being assembled. The original company was wound up in 1971, but from 1957 Bullet models were assembled in India, with all components Indian produced from 1962. And now look at them… New Royal Enfield 650s
