Armoured shirts are ace. As well as making you look buff , they keep the armour in place, close to your body. So if you’re skinny like me and usually have your kit’s standard armour flapping around in the breeze, this is the answer. The new for 2018 Pro Jacket XV 2 is made from Becooltm base layer fabric and uses 12mm thick Isolator CE2 level armour in the shoulders, elbows and back. It’s noticeably stiffer than CE1 stuff, but offers much better protection. My fingers get caught in the elbow armour pockets every time I put it on, but that’s the only annoyance. Steve Herbert
