Compared with the V9 motor, this has a lighter crank, bigger fuel intakes (throttle bodies are 52mm), titanium inlet valves, and pistons with shorter skirts. This combo should let the engine spin up quickly – not a usual Guzzi trait – and have a higher redline than the V9 to help it towards that claimed 80bhp figure.
