Simpler the better

Approaching my 75th birthday, having ridden since the summer of 1959, I had become disenchanted with riding. There was nothing wrong with my BMW800S, it just did not

seem to hit the spot and I did not know why. So I have to thank Mike Armitage for my falling in love again with the road. After reading his review of the Kawasaki Vulcan S (Bike, January 2018) I thought why not take one for a trial run. Initially I was sceptical having ridden a Harley many eons ago and being appalled by it.
