R1 to the North Pole

Sjaak Lucassen, the Dutch adventure rider known for his extreme rides on a Yamaha R1 is planning his most audacious expedition yet – to ride a motorcycle to the North Pole. Setting off from Anchorage, Alaska his route will take him over 3100 miles across frozen sea and polar ice cap. He is currently in the process of building a (very) modified R1 for the journey.
