HEAT MANAGEMENT
This was a challenge. The compactness of the LC8C engine means it radiates its heat directly to surrounding areas. The 790 Duke uses a central radiator with a central fan that blows over the cylinder heads. But for the Adventure the tank wraps around the engine, trapping the heat. This radiator is wider for better airflow, and two fans blow air over the tank lowers, past the rider’s knee. We’ve put the heat management through tricky desert testing that pushed it to destruction. The final test was two weeks ago and the radiator performed brilliantly. ANDREAS GUEHLSDORF
