Grand Prix sea­sons started in Venezuela from ’77 to ’79. It was scorch­ing – the 500cc two-strokes were so hot by the end of the race they couldn’t pull higher than fourth gear. Suzuki had to use triple-thick­ness ra­di­a­tors to stop the power fade through over­heat­ing. This is Pat Hen­nen on his RG, clearly on a chilly day.
