There was a recall in 2012 after some bikes were built with the wrong torque setting on the conrod bolts. It affected 470 bikes, but all 2012 models were recalled to see if the bolts were tight enough. There was another in 2013 for the selfunscrewing sidestand on all bikes from 2009 to 2014. It’s rare that a bike has slipped through BMW’S net, but if the evidence is flimsy then a BMW dealer can tell you if a bike has had the work done… or not.
