When Mr Rainey bought his son a Honda Z50 for his birthday

º Sandy Rainey was a decent dirt-track racer in his day so it was no surprise when, in 1969, he bought his nine-year-old son Wayne a Honda Z50 minibike. Wayne loved it, and joined a bunch of kids racing them – including Eddie Lawson. Twenty-one years later Wayne won the first of three 500cc world championships.
