- Robin Gazzard, email

999 when, arguably, Chris walker was at the top of his game. He came second DJDLQ LQ WKH %6% FKDPSLRQVKLS WR D 0U 7UR\ %D\OLVV , WKLQN P\ PDWH *HR DQG I attended most of the BSB rounds that particular year and the following year. In 2000 we were standing at Redgate corner when Chris’s Suzuki blew up going GRZQ WKH VWDUW QLVK VWUDLJKW KDQGLQJ WKH WLWOH WR 1HLO +RGJVRQ &KULV ZDV LQ WHDUV as he walked along the fence line and the whole of Redgate Corner fell silent as he passed. We really felt his disappointment. Very emotional.
