Ducati 999 and Tornado in 2020

-

The 999 mixes old and new Ducati. You get a long riding position and a craving for corner speed, with modern brakes and suspension, digi display and adjustable ergonomics. Motors are solid (short service intervals though), finish is decent, but the wiring loom is the weak spot. £6k gets a minter. The Benelli is harder to find, and quality more hit and miss; later bikes are better (but buy a 900, not the gruff 1130). Go for a bike in regular use, so that niggles will have been sorted. Prices are all over the place, but budget on £4500 for a good base model.
