Beaky

The NSU Rennmax was the German factory’s two-cylinder dohc race bike which, ridden by Werner Haas, won the 250cc World Championship in 1953 and ‘54. Camshafts were driven by shaft and bevel gear and the distinctive alloy fuel tank, fairing, mudguards and beak were hand formed aluminium. The frame and fork blades are pressed steel. This bike is from 1953.
