BMW add a heap more optional extras to the 2021 range

-

BMW have tweaked almost all their 2021 bikes, with changes ranging from fresh paint to new screen adjustment mechanisms, TFT screens and considerably more optional kit. If you’re an aftermarket manufacturer, you might want to look away now. The only bikes BMW haven’t revealed changes on are the R ninet range, the R1250GS and the G310GS. Here, in order of fiddling magnitude, is what BM have unveiled so far:

F850gsrange

New windscreen adjustment mechanism, a TFT display with connectivity and various paint schemes. Most eye-catching is the GS Anniversary with its nod to the black and yellow of the late-’80s R100GS. It’s good, but it does look like the F850GS has yellow ears. It also gets various kit as standard: LED indicators, USB port, ABS Pro and DTC. The F750GS and F850GS Adventure get a similar treatment.

S1000RR

There’s a fancy black paintjob and a blizzard of new M Sport extras to stick on the PCP bill. A sample:

M titanium exhaust, M folding levers, M engine protectors, M chain, M footrests… It’s like BMW have turned into Nippy Normans. There’s also a new GPScontrolled lap trigger function (again, it’s optional).

K1600range

All the six-cylinder touring weapons get reverse gear, tyre pressure control and daylight running lights as standard. The Safety Package is gone, though sadly not replaced by a Dangerous Package.

S1000XR

Like the S1000RR, it’s paint and a shedload of extras – titanium silencer, luggage racks, milled levers etc.

Paint and a mound of optional extras.

No prices have been announced.
