Older and wiser

Of late my biking has been stuck in a rut – commute x5, a weekend ride, and repeat. I’ve become myopic, and dare I say soft, over the years. Your article on Brausch and Shiela Niemann ( Bike, November) made me realise what’s possible and that excuses had replaced actions for me. I’d always have said a long tour wasn’t really me, but that was because I was too afraid to try. It’s taken a couple with a combined age of 149 to inspire me to try something different and stop being so… me. Christaylor,email
