RATTLE? WHOCARES?

If you’re considerin­g a first-gen V7 then expect some engine rattles. There’s a rubber cup on the top of the pushrod that holds oil and acts as a cushion between the pushrod and the ball end of the tappet adjusting screw. This cup works its way down the pushrod, losing oil and so generating rattles. It’s nothing to worry about.
