» Aussie brand Motoz is the vision of one man, Rick Atkinson, who designs and develops each tyre before he tears through the wilderness to ensure all is good. Rick’s Rallz is a big bike adventure tyre that manages decent grip off-road and decent life. The trick? Just add more rubber than everyone else; the tread is around 30% deeper than the average competitor. On a road to Morocco I covered thousands of miles on and off the track and by the time I got back there was still so much Rallz life left I kept them for trail riding and only now, 6000 miles later, is the front worn enough to be worth replacing. There are plenty of size options, including reinforced tubeless versions for the really big adventure machines. Just don’t expect them not to be a bit loose on wet tarmac –they’re big block knobblies so, of course, they are.
