» This is as serious as mini-bikes get. Which is of course not serious at all, which is perhaps why this scaled-down style was known as a GAG bike. All the Japanese brands were at it during the 80s, with models including the Yamaha YSR50 and Honda NSR80. Suzuki’s teeny GSX-R inspired RB50 differs from most by being a four-stroke, the 49cc, 5bhp, SOHC single hanging from a steel beam frame. It weighs just 64kg (about the same as all the boxes and fog lights on your GS). This one runs, rides and just needs a wee fettle. It’s at West Coast Imports (01643 800624).
