Nobody buys supersport 600s anymore. More fool us. The ZX-6R has that oh-so-sweet steering only a 600 provides, handling accuracy and a giddy rush from a rev-tastic inline four, but with decent usability – the 636cc motor is pretty flexible, suspension isn’t granite hard, and you get TC and modes. List price is £9899 in these KRT colours, which becomes £10,047 on the road. But at Bristol Kawasaki (0117 4286130) their ready-to-roll price is £8699. Doubtless you’ll have been wishing Bike was printed on slobber-proof paper after drooling at the new ZX-10R. It’ll cost £15,799 and will be the fastest/mostest/bestest ZX yet, though chances are the outgoing version will be just as phenomenal on the B6047 for most regular folk – and will save you £1300.
