The future is now

There’s a real mixture of abilities and ages out on Mallory Park today. 15-year-old Katie Hand is one of the youngest but she has plenty of experience. Katie, who is running a 125 Honda, normally races Yamaha R3s in the Thundersport series. ‘I’ve been riding for about two years,’ she says. ‘But this is my first time taking part in an endurance race like this. Also I have never ridden a bike quite like this Honda. It’s only got 12 horsepower so it’s not what I’m used to when it comes to circuit racing.

But, it’s a lot of fun and I’m definitely enjoying it.’
