» Notice the ramp on the power curve at 8000rpm. If you’ve managed to hold the throttle fully open at that point you know about it – the front will lift in the first three gears and the noise is spine-chilling. Torque at low revs looks ok on paper but feels weak on the road because of tall first gear.
