Aprilia Dorsoduro
Bold looks, all-round ability, cheap
Let’s be honest, the first thing that attracts most of us to any motorbike is how it looks. Unfortunately boring stuff like comfort and usability are close seconds, which is why few of us buy supermotos despite their sharp, edgy, attractive style. Looks can be deceiving, mind. Aprilia’s Dorsoduro 750 might look like it wants to flip over backwards or highside you into A&E, but it’s actually something of a friendly all-rounder. The V-twin delivers solid, predictable drive, its chassis has steadfast composure, and ergonomics are more adventure bike than recycled enduro. They don’t break down, either. Bikes start at around £2500.
