Knackered… but you’ve got to laugh
Towards the end of the year, between covid mutations, I set out for a run towards the East Coast. On the return leg, with a low setting sun in the west, I missed a road imperfection. I’m still not sure what that imperfection was, but travelling in the mid 50s 245kg of motorcycle slammed into an area a gentleman prefers to keep safe from harm.
Two weeks later, mired in the new covid outbreak, I am sent by my GP to have the area scanned in Addenbrooks hospital.
Despite the strain on hospital services the process is faultless and my tension disappears completely when looking at the scan I ask the specialist if the damage I am looking at on the screen was caused by the ‘impact’.
‘No idea,’ he replied. ‘But what do you think of the Royal Enfield Interceptor? Its been getting great reviews’.
