I particularly liked the project section (Bike, March). I also have a project on the go having taken a ‘newish’ bike as the base for my creation. In this case a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, with the goal of turning it into a ‘scrambler’ edition. I particularly want the bike to look as ‘factory’ as possible, something which Enfield could have produced themselves.
After picking up a year-old bike with 500 miles on the clock I set to work. After six months I’m nearing the end of the build and just adding the finishing touches including a custom rack, which a friend has kindly manufactured. I think it looks great and with the massive weight reduction and new suspension it rides sweetly.
