Part exchange
» Yamaha, Honda, KTM and Piaggio (owners of Moto Guzzi and Aprilia) have agreed to make all their electric bike batteries interchangeable. The agreement would allow riders to swap their battery for a fresh one at participating dealers, service stations, shops etc. The Swappable Batteries Consortium starts in May, and it will take years before the standardised batteries appear, which is a good job as none of them have any electric road bikes yet.
