Fairytale victory

» Steve Hislop started his ’92 season on a Yam OW-01. He didn’t like it, so did a few races on a Kwak ZXR before trying a Norton rotary at Oulton (left). The test was a disaster, but he agreed to race it at the TT. Scoops bodged on to stop overheating, Hizzy won the Senior after an epic fight with favourite Fogarty – who was riding the Yam that Hislop had rejected.
