This flip-front job is comfy on a long day, with effective vents that aren’t a fumble and an easy chin-bar lever for deploying an integral sun visor. Pinlock means no mist, you get a breathguard and quick-fix strap, and though it’s not SHARP tested yet Givi’s lids usually hold up well. Doesn’t look or feel like a flip-up when it’s closed, either. At 1660g there are lighter modular helmets, and more sumptuous ones as well. And I’ve lost one of the visor-retaining clips. Thing is, you can find this ‘Eclipse’ scheme for just £125. Go for solid colour and they’re cheaper still. Top value.
