Sharpen up your riding skills
Real riders take part in road-riding sessions with Bike contributor
Bike contributor Michael Neeves is back with a new video series on Bikertekshop.co.uk. The weekly video series has been produced in association with Bikertek. There are five videos in the new More Secrets of a Road Tester series in total, released weekly on Bikertekshop.co. uk.
There’s also a sixth, bonus episode where we spend a day with the Docbike team, who talk to riders daily in a bid to keep them shiny-side up. The series is aimed at helping everyone get back on the road safely after more than a year of Covid restrictions. With some motorcyclists having spent months sitting at home staring at their pride and joy, now’s the time to get back in the saddle. This time around Neeves has got some volunteers to help show how easy it is to improve — whether you’re relatively new or an experienced rider.
1 Corner better There’s always room for improvement when it comes to cornering and Chris Pecorella benefits from this masterclass.
2 State of mind Still the most important subject overall. We’ll be able to see the rider’s state of mind before and during their ride.
3 Speed control Stick to speed limits but ride at a pace so you can take action where things happen: junctions, blind corners, farms, etc…
4 Master conditions Riding safely is about visibility and finding grip, which change in the wet or dry, hot or cold and on different surfaces.
5 Summing-up An overview of the key lessons learned throughout the weekly series of Bikertek videos with Michael Neeves.
6 Docbike A day in the life of these emergency-service workers who are trying to keep all road users safe, especially bikers.
