Prices for MKI and MKII Le Mans are what you’d call stiff. As in fifteen-grand for a minter. But go for the MKIII of the early 1980s and you get a reliable, handsome, downright usable classic for entirely realistic outlay. These are what folk buy if they want a sporty Italian V-twin and don’t want to worry about miles, weather conditions or valid AA membership. This Uk-registered bike is described as being in ‘excellent mechanical fettle’. I think it would look brilliant in my garage, but Mrs A has just blown my modest bike fund on a new cooker.
