As any shaft drive fan will tell you (repeatedly, and at length), the best chainlube is the one you don’t have to use. This Scottoiler is the closest you’ll get to that with a chain. It’s a 45 minute job to fit (just hook up to the battery) and forget it – the drips to the chain automatically stop when you stop. Just top up the reservoir every few thousand miles. The oil isn’t like glue so any that gets on the wheel washes off easily.
