» It’s 30 years since Norton last scored Grand Prix points, Ron Haslam finishing 12th at Donington – their first GP points for 20 years. Grids were so thin in ’91 that both Norton and Roton got entries for 588cc rotaries. Privateer bikes were limited to tired old RS and RG500S, so Hans Becker raced a big-bored Yam TZ250. He got in the points five times.
