What a Triumph

-

I have just clocked up 12,000km on my new bike, including riding through winter on pot-holed twisty back roads. And I have loved every minute of it. So what’s this amazing bike I hear you ask? Some sort of adventure trailie? Nope. Triumph Speed Triple RS 1200. So what’s the story? Simple. It comes with all these amazing knobs on the suspension that you can twiddle until you get it just Goldilocks.

I entirely agree with you that Triumph stuffed up when they shipped the RS with such rock hard settings, but to discard the bike just because it was set up wrong from the factory is like giving away a TV because it is tuned to the wrong channel.

Oh and thanks for the tip you gave about Michelin Road 5s – I didn’t like the low speed handling of the Metzelers the bike came with and swapped them for the Michelins. Transformed the RS which now ducks and dives into the tightest bends, and the tyres still give rock solid grip wet or dry. I’m a happy bunny.
