» A new electric scooter has debuted innovative sheet metal bending tech. By using steel sheets folded like origami by robots, the Swedish Stilride SUS1 is claimed to have 70 percent fewer components than a trad scoot and also costs 25 percent less to build. To reduce the scoot’s carbon footprint, the company aim to flat-pack the sheets then ship them to factories across Europe where they’ll be folded and fitted with a hub motor and battery pack.
