BMW R1400GS for next year
Good news for everyone who thinks the R1250GS is too small. BMW have let slip that some new bigger ones are on the way. For 48 hours, if you went onto BMW’S service request website, the dropdown menu where you select your bike showed options for an R1300GS, an R1400GS and M1300GS. If BMW are at the point of preparing the service website, it suggests the models could appear later this year. Our bet is they’ll all be based on the rumoured new fully liquid-cooled motor (the current one only has liquid-cooled cylinder heads), with the R1300GS being the standard model, the R1400GS taking over from the Adventure, and the M1300GS coming in as a direct Multistrada V4 rival, with 17in wheels, sticky rubber, a track mode and many carbon doo-dahs. Or they could all have the same engine, like the F750GS and F850GS. Or not.
