» I’m not sure about the Simpson Bandit-ish looks, but there’s no doubt this latest Ruroc is brilliant. The first road lid with a Rheon liner to stop rotational forces reaching your brain and surpassing the new ECE 22.06 standard, the Atlas 4.0’s carbon construction, snug lining and thick Pinlock-ready visor give an astounding sense of protection. I don’t think I’ve used another helmet that feels so safe. All the other important stuff is cock-on too: visibility is ace, the slim vents are effective, it’s quiet and comfy, and the Fidlock strap system is slick. I’ve done about 1000 miles in it so far and the only niggle is the matt finish is hard to keep looking tip-top – but there are lots of colours and schemes to choose from. Great hat.
