Bird Watching (UK)

KEY POINTS

-

From the car park check the BT Tower for Peregrine. The nearby Snow Hill station area was once the top site for breeding Black Redstart so worth a look.

12Check the churchyard at St Paul’s Church for Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Goldfinch, Greenfinch and Mistle Thrush. This is a favoured area.

3Explore the canal network from Brindley Place. The area around Cliveland Street has hosted Black Redstarts in the past. You may sight Grey and Pied Wagtails together with Herring Gull and Lesser-black-backed Gull. Chance of Grey Heron and Kestrel.

4It is probably worth driving to Edgbaston Reservoir which is a good site for Nuthatch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Treecreeper, Kingfisher, Great Crested Grebe, Grey and Pied Wagtails and Common Terns in summer.
