GRID REF: SK 140 139 POST­CODE: DE13 7DN HOW TO GET THERE: Easily ac­cessed from the A38 ap­prox­i­mately 3 miles to the north-east of Lich­field. From the A38 fol­low signs to Fradley and take Hay End Lane from the small is­land, then fol­low the road to­wards the canal and bear left into the car park just be­fore the bridge WHERE TO PARK: At Fradley Junc­tion. There is a pay and dis­play car park, at the time of writ­ing there is a charge of £1 for 4 hours which should be suf­fi­cient to cover the walk and en­joy a drink after­wards. There are also dis­abled park­ing bays lo­cated ad­ja­cent to the canal, near the road bridge, which is ideal if you just want to visit the na­ture re­serve TER­RAIN: The car park is fairly small and muddy in places al­though there are also hard­core ar­eas. The tow­path is not too bad even after heavy rain, and is a fairly easy walk AC­CES­SI­BIL­ITY: Open all year round. Suit­able for the dis­abled in parts. Dogs al­lowed un­der con­trol FA­CIL­I­TIES: Pub and two cafés, with toi­lets on site. Benches and in­for­ma­tion boards around Fradley pool PUB­LIC TRANS­PORT: None to site. Bus num­bers 811, 81é Lich­field to Bur­ton stop at Fradley.
