GRID REF: SK 140 139 POSTCODE: DE13 7DN HOW TO GET THERE: Easily accessed from the A38 approximat­ely 3 miles to the north-east of Lichfield. From the A38 follow signs to Fradley and take Hay End Lane from the small island, then follow the road towards the canal and bear left into the car park just before the bridge WHERE TO PARK: At Fradley Junction. There is a pay and display car park, at the time of writing there is a charge of £1 for 4 hours which should be sufficient to cover the walk and enjoy a drink afterwards. There are also disabled parking bays located adjacent to the canal, near the road bridge, which is ideal if you just want to visit the nature reserve TERRAIN: The car park is fairly small and muddy in places although there are also hardcore areas. The towpath is not too bad even after heavy rain, and is a fairly easy walk ACCESSIBIL­ITY: Open all year round. Suitable for the disabled in parts. Dogs allowed under control FACILITIES: Pub and two cafés, with toilets on site. Benches and informatio­n boards around Fradley pool PUBLIC TRANSPORT: None to site.
