Bird Watching (UK)

KEY POINTS

-

1 A viewing screen looks onto a reedy area – look here for possible Water Rail – and boardwalks provide a vantage point for watching and feeding the ducks.

2 The area around the dam is the best place to look for wildlfowl, including occasional sea-ducks, and many of the gulls. It’s also the best spot from which to look across to the spit on which waders and gulls often gather.

3 The path here winds through the woods – look for tits, finches, Nuthatch and Treecreeper.

4 A muddy spit is used by gulls and waders, plus some of the resident wildfowl. Scan the area carefully for passage species.
