KEY POINTS

1 Stort canal: Along the waterway keep an eye for Water Rail, Snipe, Cormorant and Kingfisher attracted to this open section of the canal.

2 Mead: As well as the breeding and wintering species described above, look to the skies for birds of

prey attracted to the mice and voles living in the unimproved grasslands.

3 Stort river: Along the original Stort river, look out for Kingfisher darting along and the Little Egret fishing in a quiet spot.
