A case of perseverance paying off
My name is Emily and I am 10 years old. I’m very much into photography and have been trying to get better at it. I have been having some help from my teacher/friend who set up a photography club at my school, but then retired, but I kept in touch with her and I have been listening carefully to what she tells me. Also, she has given me lots of magazines to read and look through to get ideas and to get tips to help me get better. I first tried my hand at photography when I was six years old – and when I asked my parents for a better camera, I was lucky enough to get one. My Mum and Dad take me out at the weekend to try and get different photographs from different places. These eagle ones were from Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre in Scotland. I particularly wanted to photograph the eagle as I was told it had been used in an advert for a bank on the TV. I took lots of photos of some Red Squirrels but they were a bit blurry, so I tried and tried and tried again. Then I went to the bird sanctuary and I was so very happy with my photos. I have attached a few for you. I am sending this message to everyone just to say that if you keep trying you can get just what you are aiming for. This is for all people – not just children. Keep persevering - and hard work does pay off! I hope you like my photographs. It would mean so much to me if you could print them in your magazine please.
Ed: We love your photographs Emily and we’re more than happy to share them here! Good luck with your future photography.
