WHERE TO SEE THEM

Redshanks favour damp areas, so look for them in saltmarshes, flooded meadows and around lakes. During winter months, there will be lots of birds on estuaries and also coastal lagoons. Greatest concentrations of breeding birds can be seen in parts of Scotland and north-west England.
