Year-round flowerer

Most plants have a distinct and circumscribed flowering season. Common Gorse bucks the trend, bursting into golden bloom in any month of the year. Nevertheless, seeing one in January used to be a noteworthy event. Now – presumably due to our ever-milder climate – it is a routine occurrence. But no less lovely for that.
