KNOTS AT SNETTISHAM
When ‘spring high tides’ occur in winter, huge numbers of Knot, Dunlin and other waders move off The Wash onto gravel pits at Snettisham RSPB, Norfolk, skimming low over the heads of birders.
WHOOPER SWANS AT WELNEY
Welney WWT reserve, in Norfolk, is the winter home to large numbers of Whooper Swans (and some Bewick’s Swans), which gather outside the visitor centre for floodlit feeding sessions.
