From the south the A87 brings you north and then you need the A890 and onto the A896 WHERE TO PARK: The National Trust for Scotland have a car park as well as an informatio­n centre. Check for opening times if you need the centre TERRAIN: It is a road as far as the deer museum and hide. Mainly sandy and rocky with wet shores near the loch. No distinctiv­e paths until you return by the roads ACCESSIBIL­ITY: Year-round access FACILITIES: Local shops and pubs PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Nearest railway stations at Achnasheen and Strathcarr­on. Local buses operated by DMK Motors, from Strathcarr­on to Torridon, connecting with the train.
