GRID REF­ER­ENCE: NG 897 560 POST CODE: IV22 2EW HOW TO GET THERE: From In­ver­ness, take the A835 drop­ping onto the A832 and then on the A896 at Kin­lochewe. This takes you to Torridon. From the south the A87 brings you north and then you need the A890 and onto the A896 WHERE TO PARK: The Na­tional Trust for Scot­land have a car park as well as an in­for­ma­tion cen­tre. Check for open­ing times if you need the cen­tre TER­RAIN: It is a road as far as the deer mu­seum and hide. Mainly sandy and rocky with wet shores near the loch. No dis­tinc­tive paths un­til you re­turn by the roads AC­CES­SI­BIL­ITY: Year-round ac­cess FA­CIL­I­TIES: Lo­cal shops and pubs PUB­LIC TRANS­PORT: Near­est rail­way sta­tions at Ach­nasheen and Strath­car­ron. Lo­cal buses op­er­ated by DMK Mo­tors, from Strath­car­ron to Torridon, con­nect­ing with the train.
