Birding in Somerset
See some great birds in this lovely county during May or June
Visit Avalon Marshes to see Great White, Little and Cattle Egrets, Bitterns, Hobbies chasing dragonflies, Marsh Harriers performing their sky-dance and Cuckoos calling over the reeds, then enjoy birdsong in the nearby Quantock and Mendip Hills. Finally, some coast-watching means anything can, and does, turn up. Guides are naturalist and author Stephen Moss and keen birder Graeme Mitchell, and this holiday is ideal for birdwatchers at any level, from complete beginner onwards.
