COTSWOLDS: The Cotswold Water Park held a Slavonian Grebe (2nd-3rd), three Ring-necked Ducks (3rd-5th), with one (to 29th), a few Goldeneyes and Goosanders, a Bittern (21st), two Great White Egrets, a Marsh Harrier and nine Green Sandpipers. A Bittern was near Marston Meysey (9th). Three Cattle Egrets flew over Coaley (26th). A Hen Harrier, 150 Skylarks and 45 Corn Buntings were at Eastleach Downs (19th). Lesser Spotted Woodpecker­s were at Little Rissington and Bussage.

A Firecrest was at Woodcheste­r Park and Hawfinch at Didmarton. A Merlin was at

Chapman’s Cross (4th). Five Goosanders were near Oakridge Lynch (1st), with another at Bourton Pits. Forty Corn Buntings were at Hazleton (15th). Ten Bramblings were near both Daglingwor­th and Sapperton (24th). Five Grey Partridges were near Calmsden. Three Short-eared Owls were near Cheltenham (31st).

FOREST OF DEAN: A Great Grey Shrike remained at Crabtree Hill. There were 32 Goosanders and 50 Snipe at Woorgreens. A Lesser Spotted Woodpecker was near Staple Edge Wood. Four Hawfinches were at Parkend and one near Oldcroft. Crossbills included ten at May Hill.

LOWER SEVERN VALE: Highlights in the Frampton Pools and Saul Warth area included seven Cattle Egrets, a Red-crested Pochard, Goldeneye, five Goosanders, two Jack Snipe, 133 Snipe, a Greenshank and Merlin. A Whooper Swan was in the Newnham and Arlingham area (5th-26th). Aylburton Warth had a Great White Egret and two Jack Snipe (9th), and a Cattle Egret (11th). Awre had a huge flock of 310 Snipe and a Green Sandpiper (9th). Walmore Common had a Jack Snipe and the Cackling Goose from WWT (28th-29th).

SLIMBRIDGE WWT: Geese included a Cackling Goose (8th-22nd), five Pinkfeet, 11 Tundra Bean and 150 Whitefront­s. Also noted were 71 Bewick’s Swans, ten Cattle Egrets, a Bittern, Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Goshawk, Merlin, Knot, Little Stint, two Avocets, 553 Black-tailed Godwits, a Greenshank and Water Pipit.

UPPER SEVERN VALE: A Yellow-browed Warbler was along Bristol Road, Gloucester (7th-8th). A Cattle Egret was between Barrow and Staverton, with two Green Sandpipers on the River Chelt (1st). Two Whooper Swans (30th) and two Green Sandpipers were at Minsterwor­th Ham (30th). The Black Redstart remained at Gloucester Cathedral, with another (31st).

Ashleworth Ham had a Jack Snipe and 100 Snipe. A Goosander was at Pittville Park, Cheltenham (27th).
