DERBYSHIRE

- FOREMARK RESERVOIR: Two Caspian Gulls, two Yellow-legged Gulls and 14 Goosanders were noted.

HIGHLIGHTS: Great Northern Divers were at Staunton Harold Reservoir (15th-31st) and Carsington Water (25th-31st). A Bittern was at Willington GP. The two Cattle Egrets remained at Long Eaton GP/Cranfleet Farm (to 12th), with one remaining (to 31st) and another at High Bridge (8th). Two Brent Geese were with 400 Pinkfeet at Carr Vale (6th). A Ring-necked Duck was at Staunton Harold Reservoir (17th-19th). An Iceland Gull was at Ogston Reservoir (24th).

A Great Grey Shrike remained in the Farley Moor/Matlock Forest/Beeley Moor area. A Black Redstart was at Duckmanton (31st).Two Snow Buntings were at Kinder Low (21st), with one (22nd) and another at Rushop Edge (28th). Great White Egrets were at 11 sites, including four at Willington GP.

BARROW GP: There were two Whooper Swans, a White-fronted Goose, Little Egret, two Egyptian Geese, three Shelducks, 249 Wigeon, 17 Gadwall, 194 Teal, three Pintails, a Shoveler, two Pochards, 89 Tufted Ducks, 18 Goldeneyes, 12 Goosanders, a Green Sandpiper and two Cetti’s Warblers.

CARSINGTON WATER: There were two Whooper Swans, 38 Pinkfeet, a Common Scoter, Red Kite, Ruff, Little Egret, 321 Wigeon, 77 Gadwall, 320 Teal, three Pintails, two Shovelers, 468 Pochards, 364 Tufted Ducks, nine Goldeneyes, a Goosander, Water Rail, three Peregrines, three Dunlin, five Woodcocks, 54 Snipe, three Redshanks, three Yellow-legged Gulls, two Chiffchaff­s, ten Ravens, a Brambling and three Lesser Redpolls.

HIGH BRIDGE GP: There were two Little Egrets, 297 Wigeon, 163 Teal, two Pintails, four Shovelers, 47 Pochards, three Goldeneyes and a Green Sandpiper

LONG EATON GP: There was a Redshank, Caspian Gull, Ring-necked Parakeet, Chiffchaff, eight Little Egrets, 242 Wigeon, 52 Pochards, 256 Tufted Ducks, 17 Goldeneyes, two Goosanders, a Peregrine, three Cetti’s Warblers and 25 Siskins.

OGSTON RESERVOIR: Highlights were 70 Pinkfeet, six Whooper Swans, a Shelduck, four Common Scoters, two Goshawks, two Caspian Gulls, a Mediterran­ean Gull, Yellow-legged Gull, ‘ Viking’ Gull, Little Egret, 48 Mandarins, two Wigeon, 43 Gadwall, 151 Teal, a Pintail, three Shovelers, three Pochards, 24 Tufted Ducks, five Goldeneyes, 34 Goosanders, a Peregrine, Water Rail, 32 Golden Plovers, a Dunlin, Jack Snipe, Chiffchaff and 11 Bramblings. Three Hawfinches were in Brackenfie­ld Churchyard.

STAUNTON HAROLD RESERVOIR: There was a Common Scoter, 114 Great Crested Grebes, three Little Egrets, 30 Siskins and a Caspian Gull.

WILLINGTON GP: There were 150 Pinkfeet, three Whitefront­s, a Marsh Harrier, Redshank, Green Sandpiper, Chiffchaff, ten Siskins, 45 Little Egrets, two Shelducks, 19 Gadwall, 16 Teal, three Shovelers, 46 Tufted Ducks, six Goldeneyes, 17 Water Rails, ten Snipe, six Cetti’s Warblers and two Ravens.

OTHER SITES: Anchor Church had two Whooper Swans and two Whitefront­s. The Pintail remained at Kedleston Park, with a Shelduck and Stonechat also there. Sinfin Moor held 120 Snipe and five Jack Snipe. Five Jack Snipe were at Shipley Lake. Rod Key
