HIGHLIGHTS: The Little Gull was seen several times at Swansea Barrage. Kingfisher­s were at Fenrod Lake, Upper Killay and Penclawdd. There were 300 Dunlin and a Purple Sandpiper on Mumbles Pier (31st). Dalton’s Point had 700 Dunlin, 103 Black-tailed Godwits, 27 Brent Geese, a Greenshank and Bar-tailed Godwit. Two Willow Tits were in Pontlliw (27th). Penclawdd Pill had a Hen Harrier, 60 Herring Gulls, seven Golden Plovers, 30 Knot, a Great White Egret and Common Sandpiper.

Fenrod Lake held 250 Black-headed Gulls, 42 Canada Geese, 21 Mute Swans, 12 Tufted Ducks, 16 Coots, 12 Moorhens and six Pochards. Two Goosanders were on Nant Fenrod, Swansea Vale. Whiteford Point (13th) had 59 Eiders, 1,000 Knot, 200 Brent Geese, 12 Great Crested Grebes, 43 Grey Plovers, 13 Common Scoters and two Red-breasted Mergansers. A Black Redstart was on Pennard Cliffs. Ashleigh Road playing fields held 27 Curlews and 40 Oystercatc­hers.
