SHETLAND

HIGHLIGHTS: Two White-billed Divers were in South Nesting Bay throughout, with another in Bluemull Sound (30th). Blackthroated Divers were off Uyeasound (1st), Gletness (3rd) and Gossabrough (17th-30th). The Glossy Ibis remained at Haroldswick (to 1st). The second-ever Egyptian Goose for Shetland was at Fleck (24th-29th). Six Glaucous Gulls and ten Iceland Gulls were recorded. A Little Gull was at Uyeasound (20th-30th). A Barn Owl was at Scalloway (22nd-23rd). Waxwings were in Lerwick (1st-2nd) and Brae (16th). A Little Bunting was at Baltasound (10th-18th). Hugh Harrop (www.shetlandwildlife.co.uk)
