Cinema can still rise from the ashes

Birmingham Post - - NEWS -

DEAR Editor, the recent fire at Harborne’s Royalty was a terrible blow to Birmingham’s architectural heritage and a real opportunity lost to showcase a key part of cinema history.

Our ongoing consultation plans set out a vibrant future for this building contributing to Harborne’s community and High Street regeneration.

We have taken inspiration from similar projects elsewhere, where those with vision, imagination and hard work have turned similar buildings around to provide a viable asset for their communities.

Fortunately, the frontage of the Royalty has not been lost and we have offered the services of our RICS Certified Historic Building Professional to the owner and the council pro bono, to ensure that what can be saved will be saved.

We are receiving an overwhelmingly
