Landmark for hospital site

Birmingham Post - - BUSINESS -

A NEW private hospital in Birmingham has reached a crucial stage of construction.

A topping out ceremony was held in Edgbaston to mark the milestone of the development which is due to open next June.

The hospital will be run by Circle Health, creating 250 jobs, and is being constructed on the site of the former BBC Pebble Mill studios.

It is said to be the first hospital in the country to provide large-scale rehabilitation for patients who have undergone surgery for musculokeletal conditions or have neurological conditions.

Paolo Pieri, chief executive of Circle Health, said: “For the first time in the UK, we will have a state-of-the-art hospital and rehabilitation centre next door to each other.

“Our hospital will have the latest medical technology, robotics and artificial intelligence applications to rivals some of the best medical facilities in the world.”
